DIY Christmas tree stand

So winter has come. Very soon, the New Year holidays. We always get ready for them ahead of time, a huge number of purchases are planned, but often such a “trifle” as installing a Christmas tree flies out of my head. Well, if it is artificial and the stand has already come with it in a box. But what if it is a live Christmas tree that was bought in the market? How to put it? The stand must be taken care of in advance. Making it with your own hands is not difficult, but it will last a long time.

Preparing to make a Christmas tree stand

Before you begin, you must draw a diagram of the stand that you are going to make. Be sure to indicate on the drawing the exact size of each part.

ATTENTION! The size of the stand should be selected based on the dimensions of the tree. The higher the tree - the correspondingly longer need to do support for the stand. If it is planned to install a bucket of water under the tree so that the beauty does not dry out longer, then the support should be done on the legs. The legs should be longer than the bucket.

Prepare all the tools necessary for the job: the list will be small, do not forget about metal fasteners. Boards and bars will be needed, they are needed to make the stand.

DIY assembly procedure for a Christmas tree stand

Getting started. Using self-tapping screws, we attach the legs to the supports. Do not forget to maintain a right angle. As a result, we should get four blanks, similar to the letter T. We collect the elements into a single whole. A square-shaped window in the center should be larger than the diameter of the tree trunk. On all sides of this window, holes must be made. This is required for subsequent installation of mounts. We install the Christmas tree in the hole under which we put a bucket of water. To keep it tight, we fasten it with fasteners.

If putting a Christmas tree in water is not part of your plans, then you can build a simpler stand. It can be easily done if you cross two boards. This stand is called a "cross". In the middle you need to make a hole where the Christmas tree will be inserted. We do not forget to fix the Christmas tree.

REFERENCE! You can make a stand out of a metal pipe. The diameter of the pipe should fit a large Christmas tree. This is about five to eight centimeters. The pipe must be welded to the metal plate. This plate will serve as the base. We round all edges of the plate to avoid accidental cuts. If brewed qualitatively and everything is tight, then water can be added to the pipe.

Are you sure that the stand for the Christmas tree that you assembled with your own hands turned out to be strong and reliable? Then let's work a little on her decoration. Let's make a festive skirt for the New Year's beauty.

To create a Christmas tree skirt, you will need to prepare a piece of fabric and a sewing machine. If you have never come to a sewing machine before, this is not a problem. It’s worth it to be patient and everything will work out.

Prepare a piece of fabric, size does not really matter. You need to focus on your own wishes - what size do you want to make a skirt. Next, fold it four times and measure the distance from the right angle, which is equal to the diameter of the circle. The main thing is not to forget to make a hole under the tree.

We got a blank in the shape of a circle. Now we will process the slices and decorate with the material that is at hand.

And it doesn’t matter at all whether the round skirt turned out. Its shape can be very diverse. The main thing is that no one else will! I wish you success in your creative endeavors and with the upcoming holiday!
