How to disassemble a printer

Sometimes when working with the printer, various problems can occur. Usually they are solved quite simply. In most cases, it is enough to check the correct connection of all wires and reboot the system. After that, automatic diagnostics and troubleshooting will occur.

However, in some cases, the source of the problem is located inside the printer. In this case, it is necessary to provide access to parts inside the case under the main panel. It's about parsing the device. This must be done very carefully so as not to damage the parts, and not to disrupt the functioning of the equipment. If you have already encountered a similar problem, you can get to work. For beginners, it will be useful to read the instructions so that when disassembling the structure, do not break the product.

To provide access to internal components, just look inside, for this, open the lid. You can do this as follows:

1. If you are using the printer for a while, pause printing. Put the cartridges in a calm position to stop them from moving.
2. Lift the main cover of the equipment. Be careful when working with the laser model, internal parts can become very hot.
3. Disconnect the cartridges by pulling on special handles or recesses without sudden movements.
4. If holding clips are present, carefully bend them. Now you will have access to the internal elements to find the fault and fix it.

IMPORTANT: Perform all actions carefully, observing safety precautions. Do not rush, excessive rush can harm the process.

Once you have access to the internal parts, you can begin to disassemble the components of the printer. To do this, follow these steps in order:

1. Using a screwdriver, carefully unscrew all the bolts on the external panels of the product. Remove the side sheets first, then the top panel of the cover.
2. Remove all paper rollers to pick up and feed paper into the print compartment.
3. After that, proceed to dismantle the deeper systems, unscrew the screws holding the bed.
4. Now at your disposal are all the components of the device. The further plan of action depends on the location of the source of the problem.

To perform the above steps, you will need a screwdriver and improvised materials that can be used for convenience. You should prepare a workplace in advance where you will analyze equipment. Remove foreign objects and cover the surface with rags or paper sheets to prevent the remaining paint from getting on the interior elements. It is also worth preparing a place where you will put the parts of the disassembled case.
